A French Majolica Barbotine absinthe jug of a cat night-club singer with Mandolin inscribed 'Miaou! Berkois' produced by the Orchies factory, circa 1886-1900.
Orchies started producing majolica at the end of the 19th century and by the early 1900s produced over twenty molds of humorous majolica jugs featuring animals.
