Francis George Heath was a surveyor of the customs within the 'Outdoor Department'. Today, Heath is known as a pioneer of movements within the outdoors because of how he dedicated many years of his life, improving London's green spaces. Heath inspired Pteridomania, the Victorian craze for collecting and cultivating ferns.
