A set of eight steel plate engravings by Jean-Gabriel Pretre of Mammals after Comte de Buffon's Histoire naturelle, générale et particulière drawn by Jean-Gabriel Prêtre (1768 - 1849), a Swiss-French natural history painter who illustrated birds, mammals and reptiles in a large number of books:
Pig; Jaguar, Peccary, Black Bear, Brown Bear, Polar Bear, Serval, Wild Pig and Tiger
They are mounted and presented in hand-painted Little Greene's Mr David and Tivoli.
The price is for the set, however, they are available individually for £275 each.
