Unusual strong look. Antique Empire Table. Beautiful & rare is this C19th (probably period Empire so very early C19th) fitted side table with lift top and drawer. Rich figured mahogany veneers , gilt ormolu mounts, and ebony and brass inlays and edging. Decayed elegance at its finest. Please be aware that this is the mahogany version of shabby chic. It's strong solid and usable and immesurable quality but it has old repairs and is missing bits of veneer here and there and has a shabby country house look and appeal.
