Evenly faded lush thick figured walnut veneers typical of early Biedermeier. North European c1800, probably Swedish. Not made with a drawer. Undamaged marble top. Plenty of surface area to decorate this good-sized 84cms high console - lots of 'blue and white' vases would work a treat. Good condition- nothing missing. Ebonised column appliques and gilt bronze mounts. Polished finish. Wear commensurate with age.
