Isabelle trained as a textile designer at the ESAA Duperré in Paris, followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Paris. Isabelle has worked in fashion, textile design, retail, product development both in France and in the UK, as well as in Indonesia. Isabelle returned to regular creative practice 5 years ago. Since then she has worked as an illustrator on different projects, last year exhibiting a series of women's portraits in Paul Smith's boutiques, Paris, Mayfair, Hamburg and Amsterdam.
While visiting the last Paul Smith's exhibition in Amsterdam, Isabelle spent some time in the Rijsk Museum and was fascinated by the delftware department. She was intrigued by the association of different influences, the highly skilled Dutch artisans, inspired by both the majolica from southern Europe and the pieces imported from China and Japan. Since July, Isabelle has been working on this series of ongoing botanical drawings.
